Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms explain the rules for using IGO Jobs, what our career tools and PRO passes provide, how refunds work and your responsibilities when using the service.
1. Using IGO Jobs
These terms apply to your use of igojobs.org and the career tools provided under the IGO Jobs name. By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You must have the legal capacity or authorization required to enter into this agreement.
IGO Jobs is an independent project. We are not part of, endorsed by or acting on behalf of the United Nations or any organization whose vacancies appear on the platform. We provide career software and information; we are not your employer or a party to an employment agreement.
2. Accounts and responsibilities
Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Let us know if you suspect unauthorized use. You are responsible for the information you add and for checking that you have permission to upload documents or information concerning others.
Your profile, generated documents and tracked applications are saved to your account. Keep your own copy of anything important, such as a downloaded CV or cover letter.
3. Vacancy information and applications
We bring together vacancies from organizations’ careers websites. Listings can change or close, and information may be incomplete or out of date. Always check the original posting for eligibility, duties, compensation, deadlines and application instructions.
A saved role, match score or generated document is not an application. You remain responsible for reviewing your materials and completing the employer’s application process. We do not guarantee vacancy availability, eligibility, an interview, an offer or any other hiring outcome.
4. AI-assisted career tools
Our career tools combine code and AI to help prepare draft content using information you provide. Output may contain errors, omit relevant details or resemble output provided to others. Review and edit every draft before relying on it or submitting it. Do not use generated text to misrepresent qualifications, experience or achievements.
Match scores and eligibility flags are informational comparisons with the available vacancy requirements, not professional advice, official eligibility determinations or predictions of an employer’s decision. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use AI features.
5. Your documents and our content
You retain your rights in the CVs, profile information and other material you provide. You give IGO Jobs permission to process that material as needed to deliver the features you request, including creating and storing drafts. This permission does not transfer ownership of your personal documents to us.
The platform’s software, design and branding belong to IGO Jobs or their respective rights holders. Vacancy descriptions, organization names and logos remain subject to their owners’ rights. You may use the service and your generated documents for your own career search. Do not reproduce or redistribute protected platform content commercially without permission.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the service for unlawful, fraudulent or abusive activity. This includes impersonating another person, uploading malicious code, attempting unauthorized access, interfering with other users or bypassing security measures and usage limits, including creating additional accounts to obtain more free credits.
Do not collect other users’ personal information without authorization, infringe intellectual property rights or use automated requests in a way that disrupts the service. We may restrict activity reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the platform.
7. Free plan, PRO passes and credits
AI tools use credits. Every account receives a small free monthly allowance. A PRO pass adds a larger monthly allowance for a fixed period: the Accelerator pass lasts one month and the Locked in pass lasts three months. The current prices and allowances are shown on the pricing page and at checkout; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay.
A pass is a one-time payment. It does not renew automatically and nothing is charged again unless you buy another pass. Buying a pass while one is active extends your access: the new pass starts when the current one ends. Credits reset each month and unused credits do not roll over. Each AI action shows its credit cost before you confirm it, and an action that fails is not charged.
Payments are processed by Stripe, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) for PRO passes and handles payment, applicable taxes and receipts. Prices include applicable taxes. Promotion codes may reduce the price at checkout.
8. Refunds
You can request a full refund within 14 days of a purchase as long as no credit from that pass has been used. Write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and we will return the payment to the original payment method. A refunded pass ends immediately.
A credit starts an AI action straight away, such as a tailored CV or cover letter, so it cannot be returned. Once any credit from a pass is used, that purchase is no longer refundable. At checkout you agree that access starts immediately and that your right of withdrawal ends when you first use a credit from the pass.
If you were charged twice, or could not use a paid feature because of a fault on our side, contact us and we will put it right, including with a refund where appropriate. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
9. Third-party services
Employer websites, external links and integrations are operated by their respective providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. A link or listing does not imply endorsement, and we do not control their availability, content or recruitment decisions.
10. Availability and liability
We work to keep IGO Jobs useful and available, but cannot promise uninterrupted access, error-free information or a particular result. Features may change, and maintenance or technical problems may interrupt access. Where reasonably possible, we will provide notice of changes that materially affect an active PRO pass.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses arising from inaccurate third-party vacancy information, hiring decisions, service interruptions or your reliance on unreviewed AI output. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
11. Ending use and resolving concerns
You may stop using the service at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or end access for a material breach of these terms, a security threat or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to address it.
If a problem arises, contact us so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not restrict your right to use the courts, complaint mechanisms or consumer protections available under applicable law.
12. Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms to reflect changes to the service or legal requirements. We will update the date above and provide additional notice of material changes where required. Changes do not remove rights you have already acquired, including under a pass you have already bought. Please review the updated terms before continuing to use the affected service.
