Mandate

The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank is a multilateral development bank that finances sustainable infrastructure in Asia and beyond. Since beginning operations in 2016, it has worked with members, governments, development partners and private clients on green, technology-enabled and connected infrastructure. It uses loans, equity, guarantees, mobilization and technical expertise to improve economic, social and environmental outcomes.
