In response to what was stated by the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on the Malvinas Island, I wanted to remind you that the Malvinas Islands, South Georgia and South Sandwich Islands and the surrounding areas are part of the national territory of Argentina, illegally occupied by the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, are the subject of a sovereignty dispute between the two countries, recognized by the United Nations and by other international organizations.
The illegal occupation by Britain of the islands is from January of 1833, when British forces occupied the islands, expelling the legitimate Argentinian authorities and substituting them this was at a time of peace and in violation of the international law valid at the time, was never recognized by Argentina.
The General Assembly in its resolution 2065 recognizes the existence of a sovereignty dispute and urges the government of Argentina and the United Kingdom to renew negotiations in order to find a peaceful and lasting solution to the dispute as a way of decolonizing the territory.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. Mr. President, in response to the UAE representative, the Islamic Republic of Iran reiterates its full sovereignty over the Iranian islands of Abu Musa, Quriyat al-Tum, and Lesser Tum in the Persian Gulf.
They have been, are, and will remain integral parts of our territory, and our sovereignty over them is not negotiable.
We therefore categorically reject any claim to the country.

Mr. President, My delegation would like to exercise the right of reply in response to the statement delivered by the representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The Greater Tomb, the Lesser Tomb, and Abu Musa of the Arab Gulf are islands that are part of the UAE and are under Iranian occupation.
We completely reject continued Iranian occupation of the three islands.
