Mr. President, we take the floor in exercising our right of reply against the Sudan, which is talking on behalf of one of the parties of the civil war in Sudan, which is the party which rejects being a part of regional and international initiatives to bring about peace, and which rejects every humanitarian truce that has been presented to them and commits atrocities and uses internationally prohibited chemical weapons against civilians. Based on this record, we must wonder how can one of the parties of the war to misuse international forums to refuse their personalities, their responsibilities. This is not a cover for their actions, and this is not also a forum for them to distract from the actions of the Port Sudan authorities to prolong the suffering of the Sudanese people and the war. We emphasize that the priority must be for ending the fighting, protecting civilians, and supporting efforts aimed at reaching a humanitarian truce and a permanent ceasefire, leading to a credible political process that leads to an independent to a political government independent of both parties of the civil war. We do not respond to curse words with curse words, but we use facts and the law. It is which the Sudanese representative does not seem to be able to respond to. Thank you, Mr. President.
