- Back in 2018, I already mentioned the role played by regional organizations and better coordination between these regional bodies and the UN at the Africa forward meeting in Nairobi with over 30 African heads of state and in Addis Ababa, the headquarters of the African Union, together with the UN, we stated clearly that the African Union and regional organizations should be fully equipped to play their role as regards peace and security on the African continent.
